Bioshock 1 was my favourite game for the past 2 years. I loved the atmosphere, the story, the weapon / plasmid progression, pretty much everything.
Now with Bioshock 2, things are the same, it has great environment, the weapons are cool, and the plasmids are good.
Though bioshock 2 has a lot of problems, one being that not enough new plasmids, infact I cannot remember if I even saw/used a new one. Another issue is weapons, in some cases they have improved the original bioshock weapons (e.g. the camera which is now a film recorder and has no limit) but mostly it's just same old same old.
Another issue I had with the game, which could of been how I was playing but, I found an easy way to defeat enemies, freeze them then drill them, and no matter how big the enemy was (and as long as I didn't run out of fuel I was ok)
Now getting onto the story. I thought overall it was good, though kind of uneven. I think they took the bioshock 1 problem of a stupid ending and tried to make up for it. What I mean is that they told 70% of the story in the last level.
Don't get me wrong it is a great game, and it doesn't take long to complete (about 8 hours if your game doesn't crash), and I shall be playing it again, I just feel like they should have put more focus on the story aspect and less on making those bioshock 1 haters happy.
8/10
